"Who knew 3 wonderful authors could each write their own short story and yet make it fit beautifully in one book...This is a great book filled with magical creatures and love stories that you will soon not forget! Do yourself a favor and grab this book up RIGHT NOW! Belinda Boring and Lacey Weatherford please once again and it introduces a great new author Kamery Solomon, she has some serious talent as an author! "
~ Melissa, from Amazon

"This is the debut book Forever by Kamery Solomon in the anthology by other authors Lacey Weatherford and Belinda Boring called A Midsummers Night Fling. Each story is Fae based to hold through with the same theme but each and everyone had a flair that was separate in their own right. Kamery showed us major SWOON ability. I now have a new fictional boyfriend in Raith. Raith was fae and lived in the fairy realm. No interaction was supposed to happen between fae and humans. The only time they were able to interact was once a year during midsummer night and even then a glamour was used to protect the fae from the humans knowing that their world exsisted. Do you feel that love should be forbidden? Are rules meant to be broken based on individual bases. Would you give up your whole existence for the live of a man and woman. I absolutely love Belinda and Lacey and stalk them frequently for the newest book but guess what there is a new person for me to stalk I cannot wait to get my hands on another wonderful story by her. Thank you so much Kamery for allowing to take this amazing and FABULOUS journey through your imagination. I highly recommend you run out and grab your copies today. There is a new queen of SWOON that has entered the literary world where her words transport you into other destinations."

Thought Bubble Thursday

Thought Bubble Thursday is the day that we get to have a good laugh over some not so good covers.  We all know that authors put thier blood sweat and tears into their work- this in no way makes fun of the story behind the cover!  They may be some of the greatest stories ever written, but the cover just didn't make the cut for us! With that being said, have yourself a good laugh and a wonderful Thursday!

*On my old blog I'd posted a cover with a giant cat on it, posed in front of a kissing couple with the caption "Uh, guys? I think I'm on the wrong cover..."  Sadly, I couldn't find that picture anywhere on my computer (I've traded comps since then) But this is meant as a kind of continuation of that post :D

Review- Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt

(From Goodreads)
A MAN CONTROLLED BY HIS DESIRES . . .
Infamous for his wild, sensual needs, Lazarus Huntington, Lord Caire, is searching for a savage killer in St. Giles, London's most notorious slum. Widowed Temperance Dews knows St. Giles like the back of her hand-she's spent a lifetime caring for its inhabitants at the foundling home her family established. Now that home is at risk . . .
A WOMAN HAUNTED BY HER PAST . . .
Caire makes a simple offer-in return for Temperance's help navigating the perilous alleys of St. Giles, he will introduce her to London's high society so that she can find a benefactor for the home. But Temperance may not be the innocent she seems, and what begins as cold calculation soon falls prey to a passion that neither can control-one that may well destroy them both.
A BARGAIN NEITHER COULD REFUSE

I recieved this book for free last weekend at RomCon in Denver.  It was given to everyone that had atteneded the historical romance panel, the author being one of the ladies on the board.  I enjoyed listening to her answers to all of our questions and was excited to read her books (I also recieved and advance copy of her latest release, Thief of Shadows, for free as well).  It was also nice to have her sign both copies afterword :D

Simply put, I liked the story.  It kept me very entertained and held my attention better than some books I've read recently.  I only have a few compliants.

I LOVED the picture on the inside cover, but the main man in the story looks nothing like the man in that picture!  I do believe that was the publishing house's choice though, so no ill feelings to Ms. Hoyt, haha!  I loved the idea of the picture on the inside so much that I think I might do that as well with all of my future books.  So many people do judge by the cover, as much as we all proclaim not to, and I think that having the picture on the inside gives you just that much more of a chance to impress someone.

I've never ready a book as sexy as this one (erotica scares me a little actually, I don't want to get something too bad stuck in my mind, haha!), but I didn't mind the scenes too much.  The only problem I had was that there were some extremely descriptive words that felt like a slap across the face when I read them.  It wasn't so bad that I couldn't handle going on, but enough to make it just enough uncomfortable.

I liked that the main story was tied up, even though it's the first of the series.  However, there were enough questions left for me to want to get the second and third books.  Smart move by Ms. Hoyt, giving the first and last books away!

Overall, I give Wicked Intentions four out of five stars, and recommend it to anyone who isn't afraid of a little steamy sex.

Photo Friday

Along with reading books, going to school, and being a new mom, I also work as a photographer and model for Moonstruck Media Photography.  I try to get in a photo shoot every week because we have A LOT of people that want to come do sessions with us!  This last Saturday I was able to go out with one of our couples and do a shoot in the forest.  Here are some of my favorite shots!

We were out by Mogollon Rim here in Arizona.  It was windy, cold, snowing at times, and muddy.  I, of course, forgot my snow stuff and was out walking around in all that in ballet flats.  Our guy model actually said "I would not want to be wearing those shoes right now!"

The models did great though, as you can tell!  I only took a little over 170 frames, a very small amount compared to other shoots, but almost all of them were awesome :)

Tomorrow we're heading up to Flagstaff with four girls to do a special shoot, which we're all very excited about.  Hopefully, next week's Photo Friday will feature some of those pictures :)

Thought Bubble Thursday!

It's time for another Thought Bubble Thursday! Have you ever seen a perfectly dreadful cover and wondered "What were they thinking?!" Well here's your chance to find out!  Everyone knows that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, including the one's that you're about to see.  Who knows, the stories behind these covers might be the best book ever written!  So, keeping in mind the author's hard work and their feelings about their story, here a few covers that may be a little bit lacking in the "awesome" category :)

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
