I love how you spell your name! Is there a
special story about how your parents decided to do it that way or are they just
awesome like that?
Lol
Thank you and no, my parents didn’t name me Airicka. It’s actually a penname
that I chose when I released my first novel. I wanted to keep my personal life
and writing life separate.
2.
How did you get into writing?
It
started with Beauty and the Beast. I was in grade three and we were asked to
write a short story in our notebook and draw pictures to describe what the
story was about. I rewrote Beauty and the Beast. I’ve been hooked ever since.
3.
Tell me a little bit about your books.
Well,
I write Young Adult, New Adult and Adult contemporary and paranormal romance.
My most recent release is Touching Fire, book 2 of the Touch Saga and it
follows the unusual life of Fallon who just discovered she’s not as human as
she had always thought she was and she must choose between her humanity and love.

Do you have a favorite book or character you’ve
written?
My
favorite is always the one I’m currently working with. I try to focus on each
hero/heroine/villain as though they are the only ones I’ve ever written. They get
my undivided attention and love.
5.
What is your favorite food?
Chinese.
Hands down. I could eat it all day, every day.
6.
Do you have a favorite television show or genre
to watch?
I
love anything with romance and lots of funnies and fighting so shows like
Charmed, Ghost Whisperer, Supernatural, 100, House, 24, 2 Broke Girls and a
bunch more.
7.
What was the last book you read?
This
is going to make me sound super lame, but I finished reading my own book,
Octavian’s Undoing, to get back into the plot so I can finish Gideon’s Promise,
book 2. But I did finish Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with my
kids…lol
8.
What’s your real life love story?
I met
my husband while I was working at a retail shop. He came to the shop every day
for two weeks, buying random, useless things and asking me out. I kept turning
him down because I had just gotten out of a yearlong relationship and wasn’t
ready to date. But he kept coming by and finally broke me down. 10 years and 4
kids later…

What’s your favorite thing to do when you relax?
Design
covers. Nothing relaxes me like fiddling on photoshop. I have my own design

If you could be anything or anyone in any
universe, what or who would you be?
I think if it was temporary, I would want
to be Stephan King’s brain. Just for like a day or so. But if it’s a permanent
thing, I would like to be myself. I honestly can’t imagine being anyone else. Lol
